Reconnecting the neighborhoods currently divided by Highway 100, the proposed Grandview LID focuses on leveraging publicly owned parcels and civic institutions to create a vibrant new district that catalyzes high-quality, integrated public and private development.
Confluence led the design and planning efforts to create a public park and open space vision for the Grandview Green LID. The vision aims to create a unique identity and sense of place that incorporates natural spaces into a sustainable mixed-use development reflecting Edina’s innovative development heritage. The plan takes advantage of the natural topography of the area by proposing layered development over supporting infrastructure, providing an opportunity to co-locate residential, commercial and public community center uses within one cohesive district - and can serve as a case study for sustainable LID developments in Minnesota.
