Cedar Falls - Waterloo, Iowa
Our team led the aesthetic enhancement design for this six-mile corridor, which serves as a primary commercial connector linking the cities of Cedar Falls and Waterloo, Iowa.
Confluence has been a key partner to several agencies throughout this project's duration. Our role in the initial phases of design included a streetscape Master Plan - introducing several features including roundabouts with iconic sculptures, landscaped bio-swales and street tree plantings to bolster the corridor’s greenway appearance.
Our team subsequently transformed these master planning ideas into project design detailing and construction documents, leading to construction of the Cedar Falls portion of the project. Through our collective vision and leadership, the City realized its goals for revitalizing this important corridor - creating a unique experience with great aesthetic character.
