Bondurant has been booming with light industrial and residential growth, and this plan was created to help the community guide growth while retaining its hometown feel.

This historic railroad town has experienced an uptick in development interest following the selection of the community to become home for the region's two Amazon logistics facilities. Alongside this new growth and opportunity are a series of quaint and historic core neighborhoods and a small downtown with a significant and unique opportunity for expansion due to a soon-to-be abandoned co-op grain elevator facility. The community wants to protect its history and hometown feel while also allowing thoughtful new growth opportunities in the emerging east side of the metropolitan area.

The new Comprehensive Plan provides a thoughtful set of strategies to allow for expanded housing choice and commercial and industrial development with an overarching theme of community character preservation.
