Falls Park Master Plan - National Design Competition Winner
Confluence was selected by the City of Sioux Falls, South Dakota as the winner of a national design competition to re-imagine this iconic park.
The winning design envisions positioning Falls Park to better connect with the adjacent Downtown district, and collectively to serve as the cultural, civic, retail and economic heart of the City. This vision included realigning vehicular corridors adjacent to and through the park, eliminating barriers to pedestrian circulation throughout the entire park environs, and creating significant long-term opportunities for economic development via new housing and commercial opportunities within and adjacent to the park area.
Upon selection by the City, Confluence has provided additional community engagement to further shape this new vision for the park, which will result in a new Master Plan and future implementation.
