This corporate campus for Athene USA provides an inviting and tranquil space for employees while creating an iconic visual presence at one of the City's busiest intersections.
In collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team, Confluence led the campus Master Plan process and site planning for this new operations headquarters in the heart of West Des Moines, Iowa. Our team carefully located and configured the building complex within the property to take advantage of the natural features and views to the adjacent Racoon River Valley, while also considering future expansion opportunities.
The final design integrated three water bodies designed to collect and store site stormwater as a campus feature. The design also features an outdoor amphitheater and patio area, ample green space, and an educational signage program to highlight sustainabile site features. All outdoor amenities are connected by a hard-surfaced trail to enable employees to stroll, contemplate and exercise.
