The renovation of fan-favorite Kinnick Stadium on the University of Iowa campus created a vibrant event plaza while preserving the site's historical character.
Confluence provided landscape architecture and site planning services associated with the stadium renovation - including schematic design through construction. Our designers were responsible for all site improvements including parking lot reconfiguration, a new pedestrian circulation system, fencing, site lighting and landscape planting design. Gateway elements and a large pedestrian plaza event space were also included.
These improvements enhance the game day experience, while also providing additional parking to serve other events and everyday campus needs.
