As a part of the National Museum of the U.S. Marine Corps, the heavily wooded 10-acre site of Semper Fidelis Memorial Park is designed as a place for both reflection and inspiration.
Serving as a memory of fallen or missing comrades and shipmates as expressed in the Marines’ motto, Semper Fidelis (“Always Faithful”), this park is intended to convey the character of the Corps through the use of bold, geometric and formal landscape gestures.
The informal braiding of paths, memorial walls and rallying points evoke the honor, courage, and commitment of past and future campaigns.
