Devon’s interest in landscape architecture stems from the interdisciplinary aspect that combines ecology, art, ethics and technical knowledge. He enjoys a myriad of subjects including design principals, plant materials, construction techniques, graphic art and computer applications. Devon ensures that his work is sensitive to the concerns and needs of the user, combines use and art, and influences future generations with design and physical form. He has a plethora of design experience in high-end residential buildings, residential developments, boutique commercial real estate, apartments, condos, resorts, senior living communities and park projects.
Prior to joining Confluence as a Project Manager in the spring of 2019, Devon lived in Italy for two years where he traveled most of Europe and started the process of becoming a “passeggiata” (Landscape Architect in Italy) in addition to his licenses in Iowa and Utah. Devon received his degree in Landscape Architecture and a minor in Urban Planning from Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas. He also studied abroad at the Akademie für Internationale Bildung (Academy for international Education) in Bonn, Germany. In his free time, Devon enjoys traveling, baking, website design and home improvement activities.
