Krause Gateway Center Receives Honor Award

The Krause Gateway Center is the corporate headquarters for the Krause Group in Downtown Des Moines. The project includes an urban forest -- wild oak savanna and northern birch -- with a first of its kind prairie rooftop garden overlooking the Pappajohn Sculpture Park. The four-acre site provides amenities such as a ground floor café, bocce court, chess park, and children’s sensory garden, with a variety of interactive musical sculptures, all available for public use. The ASLA Central States Chapter recently awarded the project a 2020 Honor Award for Built Design. The project targeted LEED Silver certification.
