Parklets Could Soon Appear in Kansas City

Last week Denver hosted the nation’s first scooter focused parklet design competition where we teamed up with Better Block KC to create an “Urban Backyard,” which included a porch swing, seating for 14 and secure parking for scooters and bicycles. After the success of Park(ing) Day 2019, Kansas City Councilman Eric Bunch for KC is working on an ordinance that would allow for parklets to be installed across the city! We’re excited about this potential endeavor and what it could bring for businesses and residents throughout the city.
