Fort Sisseton Public Engagement Kicks-Off

The South Dakota Game, Fish and Parks (GFP) Department is in the process of developing a Master Plan for the Fort Sisseton Historic State Park. Confluence was at the Fort's Historical Festival this weekend reaching out to attendees about what they want to see at the site. The information collected will guide the State as they update the grounds which house the officers' quarters, stone barracks, powder magazine, guard house, and other buildings that remain from the time of the western frontier.
